Gravelshire / Re: Temple (Irwin Short Scene)
« Last post by Irwin on December 20, 2018, 03:55:06 am »
Irwin's head perked up at the noise from outside, and he tilted his head curiously as the flame elemental entered, but he paid it no attention as she apologized about coming into the wrong store.

Irwin shrugged.

" It's fine. We all lose track of where we go sometimes, it's a normal occurence."

He shook her hand firmly. If she was looking, Fia could notice that he didn't grimace or flinch at the usual pain of touching someone made of pure flame, and when he released her hand, it didn't look charred or burnt at all.

" It is very nice to meet you too. I am Silvas, but most people call me Irwin. You will find I have some wonderful wares in here, perfect for anyone, or anything looking for something of divine interest. "

He turned around and started to scroll through some of his cabinets, moving boxes aside to other shelves.

" Do you know perhaps of what she likes?"

His head lowered behind the counter as he sorted through more boxes.

" Or, perhaps you know of what her favorite color is? "

Irwin poked his head above the counter as another monster entered the store.

He nodded his head at the new monster, as he noted her stature and her hand twirling her charm. He noted the color of the crystal, and made a mental note in his head as to check it when he served her. He put the thought aside however, as he pulled out a box and set it aside.

" Ah, greetings! I'll be with you in just a second."

Irwin moved another box aside, and onto another shelf before he finally found what he was looking for, and he brought up an ornate Pearlwood box with multiple jewelstones of many colors up and onto the counter.

" Perhaps your friend may like one of these. "

Ruins / Re: If The Door Is Locked, Try The Window [Sans and Toriel]

The whole event with Austin and June had left a pretty big impact on a lot of monsters, and Toriel was one who was still trying adapt to the thought of having Asriel back and able to be in her arms once more. She tried to keep her usual routine for the most part but she found herself filled with arguably even more thoughts then what she had when she first left the rest of the Underground originally.
Her thoughts were snapped out of anything too deep quickly though when she heard a knock on her door. Who could be visiting now?
The voice and two words said answered her question, quickly cutting off any anxious thoughts on who it might be before they got out of hand. The goat monster would approach her front door rather swiftly, excited to see the skeleton again, but stopped once her hand wrapped around the handle of her door, she smiled thinking of the time she'd first met him at the door between the Ruins and the Underground and promptly answered with, "Who's there?"

Waterfall / Re: Waterfall Sonata Reprise (Undyne and ???)
« Last post by ??? on December 19, 2018, 10:17:43 pm »
The stern stare was nothing new. Understandable, but nothing new. This mysterious stranger readily assumed Undyne didn't exactly think too highly of him, and for the moment he was of course correct. ”I don't need to read minds to tell what you're thinking. Speak freely, if you so desire.” He made a slight bow, an oddly official and regal one at that. Noting Undyne's overall temperament, it seemed as though this was going swimmingly so far; she was listening and giving thought to what was said. The way he saw it— if she could still step forward with matching confidence, she might not even be as conflicted as she thought!

Still, she was more quiet than most would think she could be given this line of very specific questioning. Was it predictable from the armored monster's perspective? Sure, but that wasn't exactly a bad thing... Maybe it was a relief? It was true thought, a run of the mill fan wouldn't be asking these sorts of things... No, these would be the type of things a friend would likely say. Yet, from Undyne's perspective, they had not met until the events at the Core...

”Hmm?” Now things were fully kicking into gear; Undyne had her own curiosity to satiate but she had asked the right thing this time. ”You know, I find it unfathomably disrespectful that there are people with the gall to think you're nothing but a meathead— when clearly you are smarter than that.” The enigma in white scoffed at the idea that some people would be so close minded. ”Yes, from my perspective. This has happened many times over, with mild variations of course.”

While speaking, the armored one was simply looking around the ruined hall, as if he was making sure of something. Maybe one of those variations he was talking about? Nevertheless, his gaze once again fell on Undyne. Though not directly due to what he was currently wearing, there was definitely some manner of fierce conviction behind his gaze— picking up on that would be effortless for Undyne. ”I see you aren't completely against having a go at me this time.” He inquired, gesturing to Undyne and her spears. ”My question is, what is it that will actually happen next? What is it that this instance of you brings to the table? Is where you are now where you want to be? Have you been going forward in your life on your own terms or not?” He shrugged once again, letting the question sit for a while. ”Only you can answer those questions. Not me. Not Asgore. You Hopefully, she would be able to answer them, for her sake more than anyone else's.

No less than a minute later, another figure entered the store. Her entrance and attitude was a total contrast to the monster before her; she was quieter and looked colder with her icy blue skin. Compared to Fia, you could barely tell that she entered. Echo relaxed as she went in, relieving the tension from her shoulders and removing her black cap from her head. A smile was briefly sent to  the shopkeeper, then her gaze quickly turned away.

She wandered around the shop leisurely, but it was clear that she had a purpose to be here. The giveaway was her hands. One was in her pocket, the other fiddling with the charm on her choker. Bound by black thread, a bright pink crystal the length of her pinkie hung from her neck.

Does he even know about this stuff? Echo thought. This subject had been biting at her for a while, and she couldn't help but feel insecure about it. Hopefully, at least some form of direction would come out of this visit.

Some later several bursts of crackles and bangs echoed from outside, then, a flaming pink monster pushed the shop door open with an excited shove. Fia's bright green eyes looked around, confused at first but then quickly turned to curiosity as she drank in her surroundings like a sponge.

"Oh! Sorry! Looks like I have the wrong place!" she quickly apologised though with a brilliant, pearly-ehite smile as she noticed the shop keeper. Still, rather than leaving this place had already captivated her interest and she made her way over closer to him to shake his hand enthusiastically, "Name's Fia! First time in Graveshire so I just haf to visit! I'm looking for a gift for a friend so I may as well see what you got for sale here then!"

Gravelshire / Temple (Irwin Short Scene)

In Character Date and Time: Friday 20th of November, UUY1, 8:00 A.M

It started with Darkness. Irwin floating through darkness, stars around him, and nothing of real importance.

He stared out into the dark void ahead of him. It appeared as though nothing were ahead of him.

But upon closer inspection, he saw... himself. A version of him, that looked exactly like him.

It suddenly started to twist, and it's body contorting to a different shape.

It now resembled a monsterous beast, hideous to the eyes, and bearing no resemblance to him at all.

And it opened it's mouth to try and consume him.

---

Irwin awoke with a start. He was sweating. He wiped his head, before he shook his head.

" It was just a dream... nothing more..."

Irwin sighed as he took off his covers, and got out of bed. He had a small shack located near the edge of the local town. His house was sparsely decorated, and was entirely made of Stone and Wood. A wooden desk, and wooden drawers adorned Irwin's bedroom, and after about a few seconds of fixing the sheets, he went down the stairs and outside. The area downstairs had a traditional stone fire oven, piles of wood gathered from those that had naturally fallen, and many stone tools and silverware. He opened the door to his back area, grabbing a towel along the way. There was a pool of water obscured by the immense amount of trees in his backyard, and he usually used it to bath as plumbing was not a deal he wanted, and no one could really see into the treeline anyways.

After bathing, he got dressed, selecting a tan vest and his usual purple pants. He went outside of his house, and after locking up he started off towards the ruined temple.

He whistled a tune as he traveled down the wooded path through Gravelshire into where the old temple complex was.

The temple looked as if it was a grandiose area of worship, with statues and other adornments all over the place. Nowadays, pillars had been toppled over, shrines desecrated, and the place looking worse for wear.

Irwin stepped over a couple of toppled pillars before noticing a glimmer from beneath a fallen log.
Looking under it, he saw an old and rusty metal vessel. He quickly put the log back over it.

" Best to leave it where it is..."

Irwin continued trekking through the abandoned area, before coming across a huge rock formation massively shrinking Irwin. Irwin slowly placed his hand onto one of the crags

" Dad used to tell me of the legend of the Wyrm of Spirits... it only died because it swallowed the blasts of an eruption making a Volcano habitable for years to come... and it's corpse was buried deep within Gravelshire's cliffs... of course that's only legend, and dad loved telling legends."

Irwin sighed.

" If only such things were true. It would be nice to see something as beautiful as a Wyrm of Spirits. "

He wandered around some more, findng mineral chunks like Amber and Ruby amongst other things.

As he carried a bag of jewels and treasures with him, he made sure to say hello to those who waved at him, and nod at those who did not.

He finally came to his little shop, and opened the wooden door.

He placed a small crystal into a stone holding area, as it lit up the room he was in.
He went to the glass in front of his shop, and flipped the sign to "Open".

He grinned.

It was to be a good day.

Waterfall / Re: Waterfall Sonata Reprise (Undyne and ???)
« Last post by Undyne on December 19, 2018, 07:51:29 am »
Undyne crossed her arm across her front when the armoured one chuckled and her toothy scowl lessened into a stern yet suspicious stare. Was he really as hostile as she initially thought? Thinking back to the events at the Core he did warn them about the dangers and had helped somewhat in other ways --
'They're still a jackass.' Undyne concluded on her opinion of him. Whelp, that was that.

Her signature spears still floating ans gradually rotating on their axis behind her - above the piano - indicated that she wasn't letting her guard down, but they were still pointing to the ceiling rather than at him.

She allowed for him to speak when he chose do so and yet at the moment they asked the same question in unison brought some pause for Undyne. At least, until he stepped forward with confidence, to which she responded by doing the same; albeit rather subconsciously. Was it because of the instinct ingrained so much into her being to not back down from a challenge? Perhaps.

To his following questions Undyne was unusually quiet - or in his case, for this instance, predictably quiet - as she mulled over what he had said. Perhaps it was even obvious that the cogs were turning in her head? While she was surprised by what he had chosen to ask and say, at the same time it was also somehow not that surprising. Was he a Seer? Practised some sort of psychic sorcery of some kind maybe? Had he read her mind? The latter of the list seemed to be the most likely, she thought, since he had already demonstrated such an ability already.

At least, that would have been her conclusion if it weren't for the fact that he had seemed to know her - know her very well actually. Of all times and monsters, he was here in this exact moment, asking rather thought-provoking questions that hit close to home. The kind of questions that a mere fan of the heroine wouldn't ask.

Finally she spoke up again, "How do you know so much about me?" she questioned, although with a tone that wasn't as harsh as earlier before averting her eye towards the serenity of Waterfall. Her thoughts then went back to the question he asked and then the events at the mines some months prior, "... Has this happened before?"

﹝backstory﹞

— Qorneavine's are normally raised to be self - sufficient however, Haruno was abandoned when she was but a halfling. Although the abandoning was well intentioned Haruno was forced to fend for herself. Instead of working on her own she be-friended animals and followed in their paw prints/hooves.

For several hundred years she stayed with a specific family of Deer watching them all age and die leaving their offspring to repeat the same cycle. Because the animals didn't speak English, Haruno never spoke. As she became of age she journeyed off on her own to find something different. Her goodbyes triggered intense tear-falling action.

The solo journey brought her many findings. New flowers she had never seen before, different animals and insects along with her ability to conjure up magic. All in all it was like exploring a whole new world but it was just a few miles from where the Deer usually traveled.

As a growing Qorneavine Haruno's choice of clothing changed frequently. Normally made from leafs, cotton and a variety of other natural resources. There was one point in time she found a lone outfit just sitting at the edge of a flowing river. It was heavy but beautiful. A dress with belts and such a cross the middle. Ruffles along some of its edges and lots of under cloth lining the inside. It was comfortable but hard to move in and figure out at first. For the longest time Haruno was certain her legs were supposed to go inside the bottom of the dress first and come out of the smaller hole. Upside down basically. After figuring out how to properly put on the dress she continued to wander around in search of new and intriguing things.

Everything felt much different when alone. It was frightening then hard to cope with at times. As the season started to shift into autumn Haruno found it interesting that the cold bothered her more than heat. Unable to warm up with the company of her Deer family left her to figure out the most efficient way to warm up on her own.

A few years of solo journeying later- Haruno was well acquainted with many things. How to survive on her own, how to clean herself and her dress, and how to keep her long tresses from snagging on branches.

One bright summer day Haruno happens upon a large hole hidden upon the mountains. It was strangely large and she had to wonder what was down there. Although she never planned to find out right away- something knocked her off balance and down she fell.

During the fall she hit her head and blacked out. She awakened to find herself laid atop of a bed made of yellow flowers, remembering nothing besides her name, and her abilities.

Power:
The ability to conjure weapons from dark matter.

Info:
Haruno holds the ability to create any weapon she can imagine with her magic made of dark matter. Though when the weapons form they take on a galaxy look.

Physical traits+Explanations: Haruno stands at a height of 6" 7. The height and weight of a Qorneavine is directly affected from their parents. Typically they are able to grow to heights in the range 5"3 to 5" 8. Due to having no growth influence Haruno just kept growing, her weight fluxuating as she grew until it settled at 156Ibs.

She has a red gem embedded into her skin. This dazzling piece at the centre of her being is more than just for show. Among Qorneavine's it acts as a status symbol. The more faces and cuts it has the higher the status of said individual. They also act as emotional outlets. When excited the gem will glow bright. Other emotions require their host to want to emit a light of any sort. Other than that Qorneavine's have a clear coating on their gem that builds up for healing purposes. Much like a nail or hair once removed it takes about a week or two to grow back fully.

Hair length follows the same rules as height and weight. Typically Qorneavine's have shoulder length hair but without a parent to halt her hair's growth process it kept growing until it reaches maximum capacity.

The eyes of a Qorneavine range from a variety of different colors. The only catch however, is the fact that their eyes are usually very dark in hue. So an average Qorneavine if born with pink eyes they would naturally darken to something close to violet. Haruno on the other hand has radiant, scarlet red eyes that match the jewel between her breasts. Eye color usually reflects gem color for these monsters.

Haruno has pearl-grey colored skin. One of the only normal things she maintained from her specific race of monsters. Skin color ranges from several shades of gray to charcoal black.

There are curled black horns coming out the sides of Haruno's head. A rare trait amongst Qorneavine's. Most have small horns that stick straight out but Haruno's curled. Along with these horns she has a black tail spouted from her backside. {Examples shown below}

Character Biographies / Silvas "Irwin" Malificus
« Last post by Irwin on December 18, 2018, 01:52:09 pm »
Name:Silvas Malificus
Nickname(s):Irwin
Gender:Male
Age:400-500 years old in their age, about 50-65 years old in Human age.
Species:Half-"Demon" / Half-Fae
Height:5' 3" / 1.68 meters
Scent:Smells like Earth.
Magic/Power:
  • Aerokinesis: Being born of a Fae means he has the natural ability to bend some of the air around him.
  • Terrakinesis:Being born of a demon means he has the natural ability to bend the earth around him.
    • Orange Attack Enemies who do not move take damage
    • Blue Attack Enemies who move take damage
Weapons:Uses his natural claws to attack if ever necessary. He also uses leather armor and sharpened wooden weapons to attack if he every fights anyone with longer range weapons.
Soul Trait:Justice
Occupation:Shopkeeper
Residence:Gravelshire
Speech Color:600a0a
Description:Is the half-breeded son of a Faerie and a "Demon" as they were called back then, thus his horns that would naturally be Crimson have become more of a gold color. He has notoriously long Red hair tied into a ponytail, Gold rings on his hands, and usually wears Purple baggy pants, with a Crimson Sash. Long Green Vest over his torso area, and a Crimson scarf.
About:Naturally being a Half-breed between a Fae and a Demon, he's immune to things such as Lava, Ice, Snow, and other basic elements. Unfortunately this means that Irwin is extremely weak to Steel and Iron based elements, causing him to grow faint just by being in the presence of Metal. He's a fairly nice person but has a very nasty temper if ever threatened or harmed.
Miscellaneous:
  • Like said previously, he is doubly weak to Iron and Steel based weapons and armor. His usual claws and weapons can't break it, and he will usually go down in a couple of hits just by being severely weakened from the weapons.
  • Loves trees oddly enough. He keeps a garden in his backyard just to talk to some of them.
  • He fears that he will be succumbed by the inner dark of his "Demon" genes, and thus regulates how much meat he eats (Virtually only eats Vegetables) , and how much sleep he gets as to not fall into "darker" ideals.
  • Has a "walking grounds" as he calls it, a set path that leads to an old ruined temple of the olden days. He goes there regularly for currently unknown reasons.
Brief Biography:
The ill-fated son of a Fae and a Demon, Irwin is quite literally the perfect balance between "Light" and "Dark" as most religious people would refer. Most would assume this makes him a nervous wreck, but in actuality he's pretty calm and peaceful. Despite the rules that Irwin must rest in the early hours of the day and in the silent hours of twilight as to keep his genetics balanced, and he has an alterred sleep schedule to most outside monsters, Irwin doesn't seem to particularly mind the rumors. He's perfectly content to stay in Gravelshire and keep to himself selling treasures and oddities found within the ruins of the old Ruined Temples near one of Gravelshire's many lakes, venturing out occasionally to spread the news of the fact Light and Dark could exist in harmony. If this means he misses out on a few parties and what not, it's fine, he's still got a lot of connections, and is pretty friendly to any who wander near his abode and / or wherever he goes.
