After some time had passed, inside the portable room, Undyne's helmet vibrated whilst sitting over Red's head for a few more seconds before stopping just as suddenly once more.

----

Eleven of the beasts looked to each other when they heard Sakura's revelation quizzically before finally looking to the twelfth Koray member who was standing in-line at the back corner with his head and ears lowered. Soon after his peers burst out into an obnoxious mix of laughter, cackles and howls.
"Oohh yeah we've heard about you babe~" one of them called out to Sakura, "You did a real number on Cluego, and that's not all you did was it?"
"You're lucky Clue and she's such a hottie too!" another whined next to the twelfth were beast as he nudged him with an elbow and tongue hanging out from the side of his mouth.
"You have problems Bruto." Cluego growled back, baring his fangs towards Sakura's direction.
"Clue, you gotta stop kink-shaming me." Bruto countered, to which he earned a roll of the eyes from his companion.

Seeing Gust move so quickly was unfathomable, which caused for the Koray to cease their laughter and grow anxious rapidly.

They were running out of time.
"We need to get these stupid chairs and kids outta here pronto! Move it!" one called out.
"Shut up you idiot!"

Judging from what they had witnessed, they wouldn't be able to outrun Gust and a few nervous glances towards the rain-filled clouds above suggested that they have heard about what had happened between Sakura and Cluego's encounter near Snowdin not too long ago. So, without warning the twleve Koray suddenly sprinted; rushing for the the nearby tunnel and disappearing into the darkness within.

----

Hammocks and chairs inside the portable room were sent flying backwards. Marver lost her balance and crashed into a pile of chairs from the sudden change in momentum. She did her best to wriggle out from where she was stuck to try and catch any stray child whom may have also lost their balance in attempt to prevent them from getting injured.

((Due to a decline of participating characters I am going to be merging this thread with "Wishing For A Miracle" thread. The decline is welcoming, since, it'll be easier for me to manage and give more focus to your characters. :) Please continue your posts here AFTER I have made the next post in Miracle for you guys. Two of the Koray at the front of the row seemed surprised to see Gust and Sakura down here in the mines. The looked to each other, exchanged looks before snarling at Gust.
"Kind of a weird place to be looking for your girlfriend don't you think?" one replied.
"Yeah I've seen her. In fact here she is now." the other said in a raspy tone before pointing to a pile of pinkish salt rocks nearby and they snickered, "No idea who you're talking about and this is private property, get out!"
The Koray continued to push the enormous cube like sled dogs pulling a sleigh until another called out to Sakura, "What makes you so sure babe?"

After taking a short break about a dozen werebeasts gathered around the massive, square-shaped cargo and took their places in two rows in front of it; very much in a similar fashion to sled dogs pulling a sleigh. The cargo looked like it was big enough to fit a dozen or so monsters in it and was rather sturdy and heavy-looking. If there was any noise coming from within - say, perhaps chairs falling over or banging against the walls - it wouldn't  be heard from the outside; however, if anyone were to be inside they may hear muffled voices from the outside.

"Weren't we supposed to wait for the spider lady?" one of the dozen asked his fellow Koray beside him as they slowly heaved the cargo down a tunnel.
"She should arrive soon, maybe, but we're in a bit of a hurry right now. If she's still coming she can catch up. The Shyren is already down there with Aristide."
"Think she will be able to call upon him a second time?"
"I hope not, means I get to cut in line instead."
"Cut in line?"
"Yanno, for a wish. I hear that Aristide is feeling particularly... 'generous' today. He is willing to grant just about anyone a wish."
"Given a price of course."
"Who cares about the cost when you have the potential to wish for anything you want?!"
"Every wish he grants makes him stronger, doesn't it?"
"That's what I've heard. I guess that may be why he makes such a big deal about 'a fair trade'."

They continued to press forward, dwindling shadows consuming them as they went; leaving behind the entrance to the tunnel and the rain from the clouds beyond the surface t their wake.
"What's in there anyway?"
"What? The cargo?"
"Yeah."
"Family Heirlooms of Lady Trinity of course - antique chairs and hand-made hammocks... and some other things."
"Why would Trinity want Heirlooms down there?"
"You're asking me? I'm just in it to get close enough to Aristide for a wish."

The two Koray without the child retreated a step towards the chamber's doors, exchanging looks before one of them promptly exclaimed and only just reinforced what she had just said, "The bitch is crazy! I'm outta here!"
With that the pair ripped the doors open an sprinted out of the room, heading for the exit via the room with chairs and hammocks.
"Bastards! You get back here!" bellowed the canine holding the child hostage with frustration only to tense up when he realised that he was now alone. His heart raced, his mind scrambling on what to do next until finally, he decided to throw the child at Red before fleeing as well - disappearing the same way the other two did.

There were now no more members of the Koray left down here, as Cherry would soon discover from her hiding spot.

((This thread is recommended for characters whom have a motive to rescue the remaining children or transporting Trinity's family heirlooms.))

((Welcome to the finale of the arc! I understand that it would be too much pressure to finish up prior threads first, so I have decided to not make it essential to do so. You may finish up prior threads at your own time but please do not create any new ones in between those and the finale ones for characters involved in the arc. This is of course set after all previous RPs. ))

[[Important: Originally when I planned this Arc months ago, I intended for the finale  to happen in one thread where everyone gathers together with what they have learned and the allies they have formed to face the challenges which lie ahead. However, due to the number of participants I have divided Part III into 3-4 threads so that it could be managed easier without it turning into a confusing shitstorm of posts. Not only that, I have also created a means so that all characters will be actively aware of what is happening in all other threads which will occur simultaneously. You will see what I mean once you start reading. ;) Also, as a side-note, I also originally planned some puzzles and riddles for you lot to solve to help strengthen your friendships but you've already had a couple of months to bond and for me to have a good idea of what your characters are like. So, without further adieu, I'm cutting out all the filler and we will dive right into the thicket of things!  Thank you and good luck! I have up-most confidence in all of you that you will do well, despite the steep challenges and bombshells which await you.  8)]]

Things were almost ready for whatever preparation Lady Trinity had in mind. The Koray were present by the dozens, surrounding a large cube-like container measuring at around ten metres by ten metres. It had dark metal walls and was locked up really tight. The Koray stopped for a moment to take a breather at another larger entrance to the mines from the journey of transporting it from Snowdin all the way to Waterfall.

The beast whom had his throat ripped out continued to writhe in agony on the floor and as his last attempt before turning into dust he sent a kick flying towards Red. He, however, wasn't able to register whether or not he had landed the blow before turning to a pile of dust.

Marver's body shuddered, but she did manage to get back onto her feet and gingerly made her way over to where Stanley and the other children were. She watched carefully in silence; standing between the Koray, Red and children. Whilst she did put a brave face on, her knees did quiver slightly; she felt afraid.

The Koray whom had crossed paths with Red on the night she was captured winced lightly before the other two beasts growled and lunged at the young warrior. One of them attempted to hold her down while the other one managed to sink his bronze teeth into one of her upper arms; though it was fortunate that Red didn't rely on Conjuration magic like most monsters did.

While the two attacked Red, the first of the three hurried on over where the children were. The group of them shrieked with fright and scrambled to try and get away from him, but the beast managed to pick up one at random by their ankle, "This will be their nightmare soon if you don't stand down brat!" he threatened; pressing his claws against the child's neck.

A garbled scream of both agony and surprise - perhaps fear as well - boomed from the ursine werebeast. He stumbled back as dust flew everywhere from his neck due to Red's attack. He flailed about, scrambling in attempt to rip Red off of him, despite the damage already been done. Despite this, he continued to live; roaring his need to survive.

Marver continued to cling for dear life onto the beast; her eyes widened in both shock and awe at Red's ferocity. She admired her bravery but also made a mental note to stay on her good side as well.

The bear-like Koray stumbled, swinging his body around in the struggle until he eventually slammed his back into a wall and a reptilian squeak of pain soon followed. The young dragoness buckled over in pain before finally letting go and slid off of the beast's back; lying on her side whimpering.

Three more werebeasts rushed into the room - the one who was half-asleep was the one most is shock.
"The h'ell is going on in here?!" one of them demanded.

Back in the office, Cherry would find a list of names crossed out but were too illegible to read except for the very last one that had a singular line through it. 'Elloise'.

On the computer there were some windows left open and Cherry would find some journal entries; based on how each entry was written, dated and spaced out, members of The Koray had spent some time each day to reflect upon their thoughts for years. Some of the less-mundane looking ones read:

'We are free again! After being trapped with Aristide for so long I can finally stretch my legs again! All it took was some monster-lady to summon Aristide. He granted her a wish, like most Genies do, but while freedom is bitter-sweet there is work to do.'

'Aristide is growing impatient. Elloise is running late with her payment in exchange for her wish. Looks like we have to do the work for her so we can enjoy the sunshine like everybody else. I want to live a normal life again.'

'I can't believe it. It has been years but after being freed I was able to reunite with my twin daughters! This was all I wanted while being sealed away with Aristide... I was taken away from them before they could even open their eyes... now they are all grown up with families of their own... but now, they are afraid of me. Yesterday they ran from me screaming, taking my dear grandchildren with them so that they could not see me in this... 'state'. To think I used to live a normal life in the Underground as but a humble canine who sold knitted clothing... but now, I am Koray. I am cursed with gifts of great strength and the ability to disrupt the flow of magic but... my life has lost all meaning now that my family fear me. Exiled me. I wish to die.'

'We have been gathering monster children for their dust on Elloise's behalf. Premature dust lasts longer and makes Aristide stronger, apparently. I feel... awful doing this but, if we do not free Aristide we will be locked away forever too. I have to see my friends and family again.'

'We have to be strong. We have to be ruthless. We have to show no mercy. It's the only way. I am sorry...'

'I have been indoctrinated into The Koray and serve Aristide without question. I don't really understand what's going on but where else can I go in the Underground if monsters are afraid of me too? This is my life now. This is my home. I have to learn to accept it.'

The list of journal entries goes on and on in a similar tone and fashion; if Cherry chose to scroll through more.

As soon as Cherry opened a whispering book, it started making noises similar to hissing and gasping for air. The pages flicked open rapidly, revealing a nightmare-like shadow being dancing between the pages. Then suddenly, a blinding flash of light errupted from the book; sending Cherry into temporary blindness. How long would it last? It was hard to tell at this point as the minutes dragged on...

((Sorry Sapph the whispering books were bad news! Don't worry though, the blindness won't last long. :) ))

Everywhere Else / Re: Overwhelmed (The Koray)

Not a tear of empathy was shed fort he child, at least not from the werebeasts present. The forest around them, seemed to act differently. Drips of melted snow was shed here and there, dropping from the cold, dead branches intertwining above; it was as though they wept for the child's suffering.

The werewolves were taken back by surprise by the might of her cry, a couple even stepped back. The white werebeast stood her ground however, baring her bronze teeth the whole time. After being yelled at she slapped a clawed hand across Red's face, "INSOLENT BI'TCH!" she barked, "Of course I am in control! I am always in control! If you ever had the slightest bit of control, none of this would have happened! Nightmares of you? Fat chance Fluffy."

She then stormed ahead of the group, growling deeply as she went. She couldn't find much to say back at her, what Red had said was really something. Probably even struck a cord in the she-beast somewhere. The other beasts glanced to each other after the confrontation, they too didn't know what to make of the situation. Some were even starting to think that they had underestimated the young hero. Right now, however, they didn't seem to be too worried.

The hulking werebeast stared at her with leering lime green eyes, watching her plead without an once of empathy. He then proceeded to press his foot against her chest, slowly leaning his body weight onto her. Stanley was sent flying and landed into a deep pile of snow, creating an almost donut shape in the mount of flaked ice with the silhouette of his body.

In a matter of minutes, the others in the pack had swarmed in, running around, skidding to a stop in yet another circular formation. They too seemed tired as they panted heavily, some even had their tongues hanging from the sides of their mouths. Patches of their fur were either wet or covered with dirt or leaves; clearly as a result of the chase and trying to stay on Red's scent all the way through.

Soon enough the white she-beast appeared and stepped into the circle surrounding Red, with a squirming child-beetle in one of her enormous hands; carrying him by the scruff of his shirt. She then knelt down to get a better look of the young warrior and held Stanley just barely out of Red's reach as she spoke, "I admit, that little stunt of yours was quite clever and there had been several occasions when you had slipped away... but at what cost?"
Without hesitation the she-beast used her free hand to reach beneath Stanley's Elytra and had a firm grip onto both of his wings. A split-second later, she violently ripped her hand away, taking his wings along with it. Over the screams of pain from the child, the beasts around them snorted with amusement and muttered among themselves.
"Just remember, this is your fault." the white beast accused firmly, "You had the chance to be Spared and the little one could have kept his wings, but no, you had to stick your nose into business where it didn't belong and look at what you've done. Just what kind of a hero-in-training are you?"
She then dropped the boy into the snow again, this time within Red's reach before continuing, "Well, since she wants to know so bad - and wasted our time - she is 'about to get what she wished for'." she among the others chuckled softly, like they had just shared an inside-joke and then ordering, "Shackle them."

As quickly as she had uttered the words, the other wolves scrambled and a couple pulled out two collars from their inventory and hurried to the two of them. The handled both Red and Stanley roughly, their sharp claws probably left some shallow cuts here and there from the not-so-gentle handling. When the collars were put on they were rather violent about it; as if deliberately pulling on too tightly onto them and even lifting their bodies off of the ground briefly in the process. When the deed was done the two were dropped to he ground again, still surrounded by the beasts.
"Get moving." one of the males barked, shoving the two as they started to head off in the direction they had just been running away from.

It was going to be a long walk back indeed.

The flash grenade was enough to buy Red and Stanley some time and the perfect opening for an escape. Some howled with surprise, a number clasped their hands over their sensitive ears and the rest covered and rubbed their eyes. They snarled and scrambled, and some even bumped into each other as they practically tried to claw their way to regain their senses.

It took a few short moments, but the white werebeast was the first to recover. She whirled around, immediately noticing that the two had taken off. A most horrible roar exploded in a fit of rage from the she-beast; one sounding oddly like a mix of a bear and an elongated canine bark.
"YOU INCOMPETENT IMBECILES! THEY'RE GETTING AWAY!" she roared at the rest of the pack.

The werebeasts got onto all-fours and tore through the sloshy-snow. Their long claws digging up snow, dirt and rock alike; flinging it behind them like mangled, dull confetti as they went.  The pack soon split up as they charged through the woods, taking off is in different directions and with the white one at the centre of the formation; leading the charge as she followed her nose.

The chase was on.

Every now and then Red and Stanley would hear wolf-like howls echo in the distance. Sometimes to their left, sometimes to their right but other times it there were numerous periods of unsettling silence. At least, silence exclusing the sounds of her making their escape; their foot prints, breathing and perhaps any speaking.

Red continued her way for a good long hour perhaps, and the patterns of hearing distant howls continued on and didn't seem to be getting any further... but at least not any closer.
At least, that's what she may have thought until suddenly a hulking beast sprung seemingly out of nowhere to her left; going straight for her red cape as he gasped onto it tightly and pulled her back. The beast snarled as he raised his other hand and attempted to slam a fist into Red.

Marver just stared at Pandora throughout the ordeal. None of what she said didn't make any sense, but rather sounded like a list of excuses. Out of sheer rage the dragoness picked up the fallen kazoo and threw it at the draconequus' head before returning her attention to the group of captives.

She was huddled next to Kapral and the dragon instinctively wrapped an arm around her back into a hug with a right arm and did the same to whomever was on her left with her left arm. Kapral and Marver seemed to be okay... for now.

With Pandora gone the 'room' ceased its feasting; until the next time. All was quiet, except from the prisoners kept within.

The white Koray beast raised a brow at Red's first attempt at the question before looking to her allies in the circle before erupting into a deep, raspy laughter. Others soon followed in the song of laughs, some were deeper and hearty whilst others were more high-pitched and even mimicked one of a hyena's.  When the question was asked - no demanded the second time, the female Koray raised her hands up defensively, in a rather mocking way. Her eyes flicked upwards briefly to make eye contact with the beast standing behind Red.
"Woah easy there, Flipsy." jeered one, comparing her to a robotic poodle toy that barked and did flips.
"Ain't she Undyne's lackey?" commented another.
"The 'poor' dear."
"Yeah she would be a real bi'tch to deal with - imagining having to shadow a fish." another grumbled spitefully. Upon closer inspection this one had crossed paths with Undyne before, for he bared the scars left behind the speared which had pepper his back from a couple of days ago.

The white werebeast made a tutting noise, "Oh, looks like she would rather have the boy's wings ripped off. If you want to find out so bad-"
The beast from behind already leapt into action before the sentence was finished with his claws stretched out and attempted to knock her over. A second one also suddenly leapt, this time going for the boy and trying to separate him from her. The other four reformed the circle around them, cutting off any easy possible escape routes.
"-how about we show you?" she finally finished before she snarled into a deep below and also lunged to join in the fray. With her maw drooling with anticipation, her bronze teeth made an attempted snap at the arm Red used to wield her blade.

Red would soon find herself surrounded, by at least half a dozen of these hulking, bipedal werebeasts. Echoes of low growls loomed around her in cold symphony, dancing in tangent with the falling snow. Branches of the trees around them groaned in the wind as the cold continued to ensnare them during their battle. They watched one of their own fall in battle, blowing away in the wind; which only caused for them to bared their long, bronze fangs with anger.

One of the werebeasts stepped forward, she was just as large as the others, only her coat was as white as the snow around her and her eyes - like all the others - had an eerie lime green glow to them. She kept gesturing with a free hand; her claws were inches long as she waved it about, "Listen, girly, while it's cute and all but we have some serious business to attend to. This is your last chance, hand over the child and we will Spare you... and we won't rip his little wings off. Everybody wins." she proposed about as nicely as a savage creature could possibly do.

Snowdin / Re: Part II: Shackled from Hopes and Dreams
« on: March 20, 2017, 03:12:33 pm »
The room was filled with starving, terrified and lost children of the Underground. All shackled and most were crying for fear of being away from their homes and the ordeal.
Marver was the first to whirl around at the source to the noise. She didn't remember seeing her being dragged in before and the lack of collar on her neck only caused for the dragon scowl, "How dare you! You have the power to come and go as you please and yet you choose to sit here and mock us instead of helping! You're sick in the head!" she growled.

True Pandora was powerful, unpredictable and physically intangible, but not untouchable. In this room the specially made collars were designed to prevent monsters from using their magic to attack or defend themselves... but that wasn't the only thing to dread for in here. The walls were dark, slimy and a low rumbling which rattled from the walls caused for Marver and the other captives whom had been here long enough to know to fear such a warning. Instantly they all scrambled and piled on top of each other in the centre of the room, doing the very best they could to get as far away from the walls as possible. The ones at the bottom of the pile of monsters found it difficult to breath but at least they would be least affected... right?

Moments later the walls glowed white-hot red and the children screamed and writhed. Every occupant in the room could feel their bodies and magic being drained away; the stronger and more 'awesome' they were, the faster their magic was being sapped dry from. This 'room' moaned, utterly enjoying the feast within. A couple of the smaller children at the edges of the pile cried and screamed, and before they knew it their bodies shattered; dust caked the floor like dry sand. Who knows how many more lives would be lost before the 'room' decided that it had it's fill.

The longer Pandora stayed here, the more she will lose control of her magic and power... who knows, she may decide to stay long enough to turn to a state when she too could be collared.

Oh how unfortunate to be one of so much power.

((Got a story to follow, no de-railing please.))

((Please do not post in this thread until you have had your character exit any Part One threads they may still be in. Thank you.))

((Note: This is the thread for monsters whom have been captured by The Koray and has it's own exclusive story section from the rest of the other characters in the Arc. Most characters whom have been captured are ideally child monsters, but, older monsters are still welcome to join this thread. If you started off for your character to being on the rescue/investigation team in Part One but like the idea of them being captured for the rest of the arc instead, then you may also join if you so wish. Please remember that once you have joined the Captured side of the story, you cannot switch sides again until your character has been rescued. If you're recently switching sides and haven't been captured for long, feel free to post them being dragged into this room.))

----

The room was dark and damp. Those whom have been locked away here haven't seen outside these four, windowless, poorly lit storage room. Dozens upon dozens of child monsters have been carelessly dumped here for days on end with no food and no water. Luckily for the monsters, the way they processed food was different to how humans did, so there was no need for a bathroom anyway. Each captured monster - almost all of them being children - had a collar wrapped tightly around their neck and it disabled them from defending themselves with magic. No matter how much they tried, none of them have been successful of removing it thus far, but with any luck they might find a way. There was certainly no hope here, especially for those whom had been here for so long.

In the front corner of the room, right next to the doorway sat a very small, metallic silver dragon. She had a crown of horns around her skull and down along her spine, as well as knife-like tail blades. Her lime green eyes seemed to provide a little extra light to the room, like a pair of dim torches whenever she looked around the room. Those whom have been here for at least a short while would know her name to be Marver, the younger sister to Cobalt; former Royal Blacksmith. Marver has claimed that out of the surviving victims, that she has been here the longest and will do whatever she can to alert the others whenever someone was coming and to keep everyone as safe as she possibly could. The young dragoness may be putting on a brave face as she sat by the door, listening for anyone coming, but deep down she was absolutely petrified.
