﹝backstory﹞

— Qorneavine's are normally raised to be self - sufficient however, Haruno was abandoned when she was but a halfling. Although the abandoning was well intentioned Haruno was forced to fend for herself. Instead of working on her own she be-friended animals and followed in their paw prints/hooves.

For several hundred years she stayed with a specific family of Deer watching them all age and die leaving their offspring to repeat the same cycle. Because the animals didn't speak English, Haruno never spoke. As she became of age she journeyed off on her own to find something different. Her goodbyes triggered intense tear-falling action.

The solo journey brought her many findings. New flowers she had never seen before, different animals and insects along with her ability to conjure up magic. All in all it was like exploring a whole new world but it was just a few miles from where the Deer usually traveled.

As a growing Qorneavine Haruno's choice of clothing changed frequently. Normally made from leafs, cotton and a variety of other natural resources. There was one point in time she found a lone outfit just sitting at the edge of a flowing river. It was heavy but beautiful. A dress with belts and such a cross the middle. Ruffles along some of its edges and lots of under cloth lining the inside. It was comfortable but hard to move in and figure out at first. For the longest time Haruno was certain her legs were supposed to go inside the bottom of the dress first and come out of the smaller hole. Upside down basically. After figuring out how to properly put on the dress she continued to wander around in search of new and intriguing things.

Everything felt much different when alone. It was frightening then hard to cope with at times. As the season started to shift into autumn Haruno found it interesting that the cold bothered her more than heat. Unable to warm up with the company of her Deer family left her to figure out the most efficient way to warm up on her own.

A few years of solo journeying later- Haruno was well acquainted with many things. How to survive on her own, how to clean herself and her dress, and how to keep her long tresses from snagging on branches.

One bright summer day Haruno happens upon a large hole hidden upon the mountains. It was strangely large and she had to wonder what was down there. Although she never planned to find out right away- something knocked her off balance and down she fell.

During the fall she hit her head and blacked out. She awakened to find herself laid atop of a bed made of yellow flowers, remembering nothing besides her name, and her abilities.

Power:
The ability to conjure weapons from dark matter.

Info:
Haruno holds the ability to create any weapon she can imagine with her magic made of dark matter. Though when the weapons form they take on a galaxy look.

Physical traits+Explanations: Haruno stands at a height of 6" 7. The height and weight of a Qorneavine is directly affected from their parents. Typically they are able to grow to heights in the range 5"3 to 5" 8. Due to having no growth influence Haruno just kept growing, her weight fluxuating as she grew until it settled at 156Ibs.

She has a red gem embedded into her skin. This dazzling piece at the centre of her being is more than just for show. Among Qorneavine's it acts as a status symbol. The more faces and cuts it has the higher the status of said individual. They also act as emotional outlets. When excited the gem will glow bright. Other emotions require their host to want to emit a light of any sort. Other than that Qorneavine's have a clear coating on their gem that builds up for healing purposes. Much like a nail or hair once removed it takes about a week or two to grow back fully.

Hair length follows the same rules as height and weight. Typically Qorneavine's have shoulder length hair but without a parent to halt her hair's growth process it kept growing until it reaches maximum capacity.

The eyes of a Qorneavine range from a variety of different colors. The only catch however, is the fact that their eyes are usually very dark in hue. So an average Qorneavine if born with pink eyes they would naturally darken to something close to violet. Haruno on the other hand has radiant, scarlet red eyes that match the jewel between her breasts. Eye color usually reflects gem color for these monsters.

Haruno has pearl-grey colored skin. One of the only normal things she maintained from her specific race of monsters. Skin color ranges from several shades of gray to charcoal black.

There are curled black horns coming out the sides of Haruno's head. A rare trait amongst Qorneavine's. Most have small horns that stick straight out but Haruno's curled. Along with these horns she has a black tail spouted from her backside. {Examples shown below}

Haruno tilted her head up slightly but slowly let her head fall back into place and prompted for closing her eyes and feeling her surroundings instead. "Oh...please excuse me. I am new. I don't get out much but thank you...for informing...." the hooded woman paused for a beat seeming to not move a single muscle before continuing where she left off, "me." With no actual need to eat she wondered how her want for the otherwise energizing creations would affect her decision. She had followed the fellow monster's gesture to a table with a metal stand and visualized it in her mind. She couldn't see through her hood after all. With a turn of her head she was facing Niskel once again. "How about a caramel macchiato with almond milk...and that beef stew does sound promising. I thank you for your patience with me," she said with a bow of her upper body along with her head. 'I'll be sure to sign up when I know which table I'll choose.'

As her second sense came through she took note of all the monster's emotions. The excitement from one side of the room, a wonderful feeling of joy mixed in with it, and the wariness from all over. Since she was faced away from most of the other patrons she couldn't see all the colors but some seeped into her vision. Strikes of orange mixing with little paint splats of gold while a strange silver swirled through it all like spiraling metal. It all looked lovely but before she realized she had allowed too many to enter her heightened senses and then- "a...achoo!" A kitten sneeze almost as light as a feather.  "E-excuse me."

Height: 6"2
Age:Unknown
Species: Undead Parasitic Gem Beast
Magic: Darkness and conjuring
Weapons: Sword, hair, cloak, magic
Occupation: Unknown
Residence: Snowdin
Sexuality: Bisexual

Bio:

Reborn anew after her death, Haruno has come to know change. Her relationships are all nothing more than a vague memory of a life she used to live. She is more distant and aloof nowadays. Like a wandering spirit. Her happiest memories have been for the most part forgotten and everything that does manage to slip back to her is in chunks and pieces are never clear. Her personality can be described as either split or 'divided' in the sense of her actions and motives. They are never clear and she truly does like it that way. The less people truly know about her the better. She doesn't like people prying into her life. She likes a good mystery, and adventures are always welcome.

After closing herself off from the world Haruno changed more and more until her gem was fully healed. Still hesitating to even leave her home she decided to use the time she had to become more knowledgeable about the world and herself and in that way she began training herself. Her features had changed drastically but her most notable feature still remains the same. Ridiculously long, black hair. Her red eyes have only changed a slight bit as well.

She has become more peaceful with herself and even gained the friendship of Haru so she could control the darkness within her and use it to make beautiful things. She has many new feats pertaining specifically to beautiful scenery and aesthetics because she loves to create things that are beautiful. Darkness...is actually more divine than most think. One of her many goals is to become pure and wash away all negative aspects about her. There is much for her to do before she can obtain the purity she desires but she is on her way.

Her biggest weakness right now is her fear of starting again. She is very sensitive to the cold and also weaker when cold so she has to really cover up. She is more likely to get hurt in severely cold weather and can even cut herself if she isn't careful so it is a wonder as to why she stays in Snowdin. When asked she doesn't answer.

Attributes and attacks:

Sword: Pulled from Haruno's gem for combat. A sharp blade with amazing durability, and sharpness. Its speed although not unrivaled is still up there in ranks. Can be charged to release stronger attacks but if charging is interrupted the sword will in a sense- shut down temporarily and poof. It can be reformed after a few seconds.

Magic: One of Haruno's strongest feats that makes her a formidable foe. She is able to use her magic to conjure up a variety of things. Her signature creations range from magical instruments that either damage or heal Monsters when played and nature.

Cloak: A signature ability of Haruno's has always been to control what she is wearing- however things change. Her cloak or whatever she will shift into later on is capable of withstanding dangerous temperatures both above and below freezing. It may slip into lava and come out like it was a simple pool of water. Besides those traits it is able to suck up impacts taken to Haruno and send them back at any given moment. This ability is limitless until Haruno runs out of magic reserves. With this its last ability is to 'cloak' Haruno and make her turn invisible. This ability although running on magic has a time limit of 20 seconds and once used it cannot be reactivated until 10 minutes have passed.

Hair: Although it's just normal hair it can be transformed into whatever Haruno desires if she feeds it magic. It is able to shield her or become a dome and shield her and multiple others from several kinds of attacks but it is only able to last for 4 turns. If she uses it on herself then 5. Her hair is also able to detach itself and slither around like little gremlins to either attack or aid Haruno or others. Since they are filled with her magic their ability to heal is inevitable. Though they must be touching the monster they wish to heal. Much like a hair cut when the hairs detach themselves, Haruno will have short hair. The amount of hair she has left which will usually only ever get to slightly below her ears will be determined by how much hair leaves her.

Other Info

Chemicals tend to excite or enthrall her. She also likes water. If touched by acid, water or chemicals her summoned objects will increase drastically. Most abilities when pushed to their limits take more than a few days to recharge. They draw energy from kinetic motion and store it, once the reserves are emptied it takes a while to regenerate. Since she lives in a cold area it takes an even longer amount of time to get back to full strength.  However, as she does live in a cold area she is never truly at full strength.

Other things to know: Her hair is black and sometimes seen as gray and it's very long. It tends to trail behind her. That's pretty much it.  That and her skin is known as Multi-perspective. That means her skin color is determined by however one sees her. That being said if one is color blind or otherwise she will be seen as a pale gray.

She has four themes

The first one is her theme for when she was in the void.

https://youtu.be/1h1h1QPHLLA

Her second one is to represent her mysteriousness.

https://youtu.be/isIj3tuQTDY

the third represents her peace of mind.

https://youtu.be/wOMwO5T3yT4

her fourth stands for her strength and will.

https://youtu.be/s79570nLz4Q

her fifth stands for her reserved cuteness

https://youtu.be/eSH7QSzkhQg

Voice: https://youtu.be/pxZidQwfDSg

Side Notes: Being the kind of beast she is everything that she possesses can be transformed into a weapon but each individual weapon is only as strong as how much she uses it.
Haruno is usually, when potential has continued to develop to a certain point will be overflowing with energy. So much so that her body disposes of it in small pink orbs. No matter where she is these pink orbs will always be around her if all of the conditions have been met. They are useless to suck up unless sucked up by her 'secret weapon'. Anyone else is more likely to vomit since it contains a defense that acts like emetics. If consumed by someone else by accident or on purpose they will immediately vomit. No harm done besides vomiting.

Much like her cloak or other clothes she'll shift into, her hair can also be used as a weapon of sorts but its abilities have differed greatly than what they used to be.  She cannot kill herself due to it simply not being allowed in the race of what she is. She can ingest acid as if it we're a normal drink or food since she really doesn't need real food or water to survive. When she closes her eyes and takes a whiff she can smell emotions. Her senses are very high when her eyes are closed. Including her hearing.

Her Sword-

Snowdin's a cold, sometimes unforgiving place. For creatures who were weak to its below freezing winds and its frozen water it almost seemed like a form of torture. However, it somehow became a place of beauty and grace in the eyes of the hooded figure. As they walked slowly down the thick pathway of snow, the fluffy white frozen water vapor crunched beneath their boots. The gentle breeze flowed under the cape of their cloak, making the black fabric flutter until the wind died away.

They were a long ways from the main focus of Snowdin town but even still their pace remained slow, seemingly practiced even. A pair of lips pressed together tight as the being dived into their memories. Living was such a blessing...that it seemed like a waste to think of the past. Too much attention on the past would make one miss the present and then soon the incoming future.

Progress was slowly being made as the figure trudged on through the cold snow. Soon enough Snowdin town was coming into view. Once the being stepped into the town they took in the changes. It had been...so very long.

What seemed to be a little shop drew in the beings attention. Without a second thought or even a moment of hesitation they began walking towards it. Expresso Yourself was what it read. It was an interesting play on words but it somehow didn't quite grab the figures attention like the other monsters did. That however was a given. After only a few minutes of observation a few things became clear.

1. This place was popular
2. There were poem performances taking place here
3. Their products must've been good if this many monsters were showing up.

The hooded figure entered the establishment and made their way into the line and remained silent until they had finally made it up to the counter. "A table for one please...I would... also like to sign up for the poem performance." would come a quiet and raspy voice. It was hard to differentiate what gender it belonged to. The beings hooded black cloak was long, the cape trailing behind them on the ground while the hood itself kept their eyes and most of their face hidden for their convenience. The only thing visible were lips, a chin and a slender neck.

Haruno made her way towards the exit along with the others. Things had calmed down and all of the drama slowly diminished however the lava was still rising and she didn't plan on swimming forever should she have decided to stay that long. Once she turned her back on the others that was simply it. She did not look back and from that she seemed to disappear from...everyone.

Haruno took Hiss, jumped off of the bull's back and rolled off to the side to safety. "Things will be alright." Haruno stood up to full height once fully back on her feet. "Austin's in trouble. The other's I'm sure can't do it on their own...I must do something." Her gray eyes slid over to the nearby group members. "If we all work together we could possibly get to that button. Though some people are the solo kind so...we must do what we can..." Haruno moved back to keep a considerable distance from the others as she moved.

The person after a few moments came into Haruno's view from beyond the tree. There was a bag over their shoulder filled with by what Haruno assumed to be wood. He hadn't been around these parts before. When he began walking away she was able to see just why there was so much light around them. The monster was made of fire. It had to be the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen. Somehow the lava bath she took when things went down with June couldn't compare.

"E-Excuse me sir! I feel like I've seen you somewhere before...we've met before yes?" She questioned now stepping out from behind a tree herself. She moved forward with evenly paced steps. "It's a bit fuzzy but I think I've seen you before. Didn't I make a hole somewhere or something?" She asked unsure.

Snowdin / Re: A Path of Snow Accompanied by Flames

The woman made her way down the path looking through the trees to admire their beauty. Of course she passed the cabin she had always seen but never knew who it belonged to. It could be abandoned for all she knew. Her house was still a bit far down the line but for the most part it was just another long walk. Each stride she took was nothing short of a stretch so she could cover more ground and make it to her home quicker. Snow was beautiful and it's white cold, enchanting beauty was always admired yet at the same time...it's cold. Really cold. Especially in places like Snowdin- well only in places like Snowdin. It could be a dangerous beauty and sometimes those chills got to Haruno and as the cold winds made their way through the openings of her coat it would eventually reach her gem and all hell would break loose.

The sound of an object hitting wood caught her attention for a brief moment. This was definitely a first. She'd never heard anything like it before. Haruno pondered only for a few moments whether to go investigate or just forget about it and go home. Her curiosity got the better of her and she turned off the pathway to enter the woods. With eyes of scarlet scanning the surrounding area only in the corner of her eye did she notice Snow that was...a different shade? No no it seemed as if something was emitting light and that light could be seen on the snow. Who would have a lantern all the way out here? She didn't move to step closer, only a few trees keeping the small distance between them. The tree behind the monster was blocking her sight of who it was but she was only slightly intrigued.

Snowdin / A Path of Snow Accompanied by Flames
« on: October 25, 2017, 01:01:29 pm »
Yes I'll be careful. Mhmm I've figured it out for the most part. Phones are still strange I must say." Haruno stood with her back against one of the many large trees that Snowdin was known for. The dark wood welcome to look at but was unsurprisingly cold to the touch so not very welcoming to touch. She pressed the phone to her shoulder with her cheek so she could comb her fingers through her hair, untangling a few strands at the end of one of the two braids. The woman was on her way back home from Waterfall after visiting Lucy to figure out how to further work the phone she was given.

She slid away from the tree to twirl out into the large pathway that was mostly unused. Only few monsters came this far into the depths of Snowdin. Most remained in the city portion and those who came out were either looking to get away or otherwise. She was one of the very few who lived far out and away from people. It was a strange thing to come back to. Having her very own home with everything she had ever owned in it as if she always lived there. It was a bit foreign but not so much that she was uncomfortable with it.
"Ah yes I will speak to you later. Thank you- have a nice day." She pressed the 'End Call' button and started off again on her way home. The only reason she stopped was because walking and talking on the phone at the same time was harder than she expected. She had walked into a tree last time. How she had swerved so far off path without noticing was beyond her but it happened. That and although the temperature was not to her liking she enjoyed the beauty of Snowdin. It was so very pretty. Her winter coat clung tightly to her body, it was one of the things she had to get used to while staying in Snowdin. Wearing a coat unless she was inside a building. Everything was rather cold but she didn't mind it that much. It helped level her out.

Haruno exhaled to watch her own breath spew out in front of her. Even though the environment weakened her and wasn't exactly the best for her she knew that she used to live here before- where she wasn't sure not that it mattered. This place was home and it always would be.
Silence filled the air besides the crunchinf of her shoes against the snow while she walked. There was a slight breeze that swept through her hair. Two large braids tied together into a low ponytail down her back with the rest of her hair falling naturally like normal. She opened her mouth, eyes squinting before a small sneeze escaped her being.

The plan could work. That much was certain but with Haruno feeling sickly from the rail gun blast before her strength would surely dwindle and possibly die out quicker than normal. When Hiss wrapped around her and turned the two of them invisible she smiled knowing this would in some way help Sans in the long run. If Austin the bull was distracted then his attention could be focused on everyone else. "I don't know...what I stand for. Who my true friends are and my real enemies but I do know however...that this bull has harmed an old friend of mine and that is something I cannot tolerate. Even if what the voice said is true-" She began moving forward, one leg in front of the other. "He's still a friend to me! And friends always have each other's-" she picked up the pace, running with wide strides until she was leaping into the air right onto the bulls back. "backs!" She roared as she clung to it for dear life hoping to keep her grip firm until further notice.

It was good she thought ahead before they entered this place. Her decision in that moment was a smart one but it wouldn't last forever. She calculated that she only had roughly two hours to be 'physical' before she had to plop out of existence for a bit. As the bull jerked she grunted, teeth grit as she kept her hold. In the very back of her mind she wondered if becoming heavier would hurt her too but that didn't matter. This was for Sans and everyone else. That's all that mattered to her. Her feelings were uneasy and hard to keep a hold on- much like the bull she struggled to stay upon. Her gray eyes hidden by the red snakes invisibility were sick and she felt a strange exhaustion that she hadn't felt until after the rail gun hit her. Though she had to be sure that should something go awry that she got Hiss off of her and moved him as far away as possible. Haruno was prepared for anything. She wouldn't let anyone go down with her.

This had been declared ever since she first stepped into the plane of existence. She could do so little without her powers but in the end her efforts could make a difference and that meant more to her than anything right now. "Hang in there Hiss." She whispered since he was wrapped around her and she was tightly pressed to the back of the bull there must've been some discomfort. There was no way she could deal the bull harm without at least using her hand but she needed both to cling onto the giant bull. Another thought came to mind...how quickly would she be able to remove Hiss from her should things go south? Of course she didn't have to worry too much about his landing. He should be fine in that regard.

It was only then the sharp pain from the impact finally hit. Papyrus must've already increased the weight on her but she wasn't able to tell until now. Now that she really thought on it she did feel a bit heavier. Not even just a bit- a lot heavier. Would it make moving difficult? That should make things interesting if anything but beyond that it could be trouble. 'No matter everything should be-'

'I wonder if you missed me.'
Haruno inwardly groaned but said nothing nor did she respond. That right there should've been impossible. Of course Hara didn't run on magic but she did run on darkness...right? She shouldn't be speaking right now. As far as Haruno was concerned she should've been rid of her entirely. It mattered not- she had a job to do and she'd do it. 'You know I can answer that for you. I am you. You can't separate us because we're one person.' that may have been the best news Haruno had heard all day and if that sarcasm wasn't blatant enough in her lack of a response then she didn't know what would be?

Haruno felt the dizziness from being teleported from one place to another rather suddenly. "It's alright small one. I'm alright." She managed but in her gut it felt tight and suffocating. Her fingers dug into her palms as she moved to stand. She couldn't hear the strange voice anymore but overall that didn't matter right now. They were all supposed to be working together as a single unit but it seemed like most of the group was on a solo mission of some sort. Opposing thoughts, separation. It just didn't feel right. Although she couldn't complain too much. 'This shadow figure can only hold up for so long but it can at least protect.'  Her finger lightly pressed against the hard gem hidden beneath her dress. It was still oily meaning that the natural substance was still there.

Haruno sat down right where she had landed and decided to watch the events unfold and boy did they. The giant bull thing had a live voice coming from it, June had called her king and Undyne cowards, and maybe they were for what they did but at the time it was the only way. Humans were the cause of monsters suffering in the first place. In reality peaceful methods didn't always work. Oppression still existed somewhere out there. Very faintly in the back of her mind a story of something relating to it tried to reach her but it was just too far out of her reach to comprehend. The black haired woman let out a sigh but that sigh was more out of exhaustion than frustration. This was almost too much. She understood though. It was hard to work together, to make people understand and come together but that much was still up in the air until something brought them together. All of them...together.

They were all free to think as independent individuals but sometimes people didn't like free thinkers. Haruno considered herself a free thinker and most of the time she cared not of what people thought of her or of those around her. She didn't care that Toriel was angry at the king. The only thing she cared about was that the King was still all himself and that he was alright- most of the time. There were a lot of things she didn't care about. That's what made things she did care about so important. "Try to...control your magic small one. Don't let it control you. If you listen to my words then you will become a better magic wielder and that book of yours will not take hold of you. It will always be the opposite way around." She gave the creature a small smile then turned her head to face forward where the bull, June and Papyrus were. That was until her expression changed completely. June was clearly telling Sans something was wrong and that he had to move everyone. Haruno stood and pulled Lily, Hiss and Geneva close so they weren't too far and Sans could pick them up easily yet with each movement she felt more and more tired. "Well isn't this...a doozy." She muttered but was glad at the fact she had collected those nearby so Sans wouldn't have to strain to stretch his magic to their mostly scattered group. She could do little else but wait and see what else happened.

Haruno sneezed then wiped lightly at her button nose."Statement: Noted. Query: I would like to get used to you. Could you move onto my finger small bird unit?" She questioned. The others were still doing their thing so here she was doing hers. "Statement: I have no ulterior motive. I will not harm you." She spoke in as clear and crisp of a voice as she could. Her graceful tone returning just slightly from the way it was before her magic was drained. Her sickness left her feeling nothing less than horrible but it seemed to be needed. There was a reason for everything and Haruno knew that. It bothered her not.

"Statement: Let us converse about your command library."

Haruno hummed as she thought. The monster did her best to think of what the others used to say before and when it came she thought a bit harder about it. 'Would that work...and if it does do they only reply to that?' She put it to the test. "Query: How can I get you to understand me? Must I say query everytime?" She asked with her finger still curled for the bird. She nearly lost her hold on the edge when the lava seemed to get heavier, lightened, then get heavy again.

"Hello there." She repeated still keeping her finger out, she covered her mouth with her free arm when she began coughing. That was new. It left a slight wheeze affect afterwards and that could possibly stick for a while until she cleared whatever it was out of her system. She didn't really move or shift around too much but tried her best to keep hold of the edge while her lower body remained submerged in the lava that as it slowly- so very slowly rose felt like it was pulling her down.

"Have I spoken with Clarity?" She questioned in a clearer voice with a very small, amused grin.

Haruno pushed at the slow moving lava, it felt heavy around her but also welcoming since it has been a while since she's been in lava. When the voice returned she pulled her lava filled hair up over her arm and let it fall back inside. "Mhmm." She said in agreement as she began to comb her fingers through her lava-filled hair. It was so hot but in a way that hotness reminded her of boiling water just times one million. Haruno dipped under keeping her eyes closed because she knew if she let her eyes stay open she would see nothing but orange and red. Lava wasn't the most see through thing out there.

She came back up with a hair flip, black hair slick with Lava slapped against it's own surface behind her. Turning around the gem beast could still see the others in their little groups working on things, talking and mostly being the same as they were 10 minutes ago. Nothing had really changed. With eyes as gray as ash and an expression almost as grim to match the monster placed her hands at the edge and halfway pulled herself out, though being tall she could pull enough of herself out that she could reach the birds. Her cheeks puffed out and she blew the chunks of lava away from her and wait until her hand cooled. Once it had she held out her finger in a curved fashion towards the nearest bird, offering a small smile to coax it to jump on.

"Hello there." She whispered in a hoarse voice that came more from not talking than it did her condition.
