Moxie went silent during Sprite's little speech, watching him closely, his actions and reactions to his own words and her feeble attempt to find happiness among the hatred that the monsters threw her way.

"wasting my time?.."

"They do not care?..."

"I see".

There was a prolonged silence as Moxie comprehended what Sprite was saying. So they would never accept her for what she was... great. And Sprite was saying, that if they weren't willing to be kind enough to accept her or him for who they were, for what truly defined them...

They weren't worthy of the lives they held so dear to them if they weren't willing to evaluate the worth of the lives of others... was that what he was implying? By all means, she saw the logic there... an underground without monsters like that would be an underground full of peace. Even if the peace was there because every single monster was nothing more than a pile of dust on the ground.

"So... there is not much that can be done then? The threat must be eliminated for there to be peace, yes?" she asked.
What she seemed to be picking up from him would have made any other monster go pale and question the sanity of the puck.
Though Moxie wasn't any other monster, and she saw the logic. Granted, some of these ideas were simply spurred on by what Sprite said, rather than him putting them directly in her head... but they made sense. If the bad monsters are dead, that meant that the good monsters could live peacefully... and perhaps she could get some acceptance.

Moxie knew nothing of the capabilities of growing stronger by training. If she wanted more strength she would have to upgrade herself rather than working for it. Her sensors suddenly indicated a drop in temperature as they embraced each other, showing that Sprite could indeed chill in the Hotlands.

"Dancing was an interesting experience. Since our last meeting I have discovered other "musics" and other ways to move fluidly to their beats".

The canine gave a metallic sigh and sad herself down on Alphys' desk by the burning monitor.

"They do not accept me... not like how you did. When they see me they often panic... the monsters do.
I am no monster, but I am not something for them to fear. I want them to accept me as a monster... like them.
I came here to make myself normal... I am searching currently for a replacement voice box, but so far I have found nothing.
Why do they not accept me? I may not have "the soul" that the monsters do, yet something inside feels unpleasant.
I cannot describe this feeling... it is almost like my circuits are overheating, yet they show no signs of breakage.
I just wish to fit in... and for her to appreciate my existence" The robot replied to the boy, her pink eyes glowing eerily in the semi-darkness.

"Those parts, none of them can be used for what I desire. I believe they are meant to be for another" she continued. Among the parts there were various pieces of black and pink panels, similar to the color pallet of her hair and eyes. However Moxie knew that those parts were not for her. A part of her was compelled to throw them away, to burn them in the lava outside so they would never be seen again.

The heat never bothered Moxie and likewise, neither did the cold. Being unable to feel things was both good and bad, though at this time perhaps it would have been better if she had nerves. Though her internal thermometer registered a small drop in temperature it wasn't actually physically felt, only known.  It was only when the sounds of his footsteps became audible that the robot noticed the boys arrival. At first she wheeled around and struck a defensive posture but relaxed when she saw the goofy kid whom she had danced with. Though he seemed different... there was this feeling, this air about him that oddly affected her. Perhaps she was beginning to feel things... just as she had thought she felt sadness. His presence was more oppressive than she remembered, though he still carried the same goofy way of moving about as he did when they first met. Seeing someone who was familiar to her but wasn't the talking calculator or the dino lady was a huge relief: if either of them came here there would be problems.

"Sprite! What brings you here? The air temperature isn't cool enough for you to be chilling here. Do you require more gold? I have more if you need it" she said to the puck. The robot ensured that her chest plate was locked down correctly as not to smack Sprite in the face in the event it flung open and offered him a hug, something she had seen many monsters do but had only ever experienced once before. If he would accept it was beyond her, but she offered it nonetheless.

Now that Moxie had her faux fur she needed to find somewhere to repair herself, where no-one would see her while she did so. After hearing about the break in that occurred at Alphys's lab she figured it would be vacant.

The robotic canine walked up to the broken down and clawed up door, pausing in its frame as she did so. There would be no Mettaton here, or Alphys... so why did she hesitate? She clenched her fists and then took a step into the dark building. Why did she like him so much more than her? From her observations mothers were supposed to nurture and care for their children, so why was Moxie left uncared for? What made Mettaton so special that he was given top priority for everything? Didn't she care? Didn't she love her? Was there something wrong with her?Sure she didn't understand some things and took them literally, but that was all her fault. It was the way she was built: Moxie had never asked to be made, nor to have such a simple AI.

She walked into the center of the lab, her pink eyes the only light in the building with the exception of the glow from the lava that could be seen near the doors and a small fire that had started on the broken monitor. There was no power going to the building: it seemed that it had been manually turned off. Moxie sat down on the floor and began pulling off strips of fur. The end of the ring finger of her left hand flipped up, revealing a sewing needle that worked similarly to a sewing machine. After an hour or so of work the new faux fur was ready and she replaced her old one. Now for other repairs. There was probably something she could use to fix her voice box: she hated the way people looked at her when she spoke in her robotic voice. Some people showed fear, others disgust. She had even once been called an MTT impersonator and that really was quite painful for her. It was odd: physical pain was impossible for her to experience, yet sometimes she felt what she was sure mental pain must be like. The robot started to rummage through the wreckage of computer parts and spare robotic parts, taking anything that may be useful and tucking it away in her chest compartment.

"Ah, I see" was the robots initial reply. She then took a few more seconds to look around before deciding that this store most likely would not have the parts she needed.
"Thank you for what you have done for me already, though unfortunately I will not find the rest of what I desire here " the canine continued. She then gave a mechanical smile and wave before leaving the small snow-covered shop.

Moxie looked at Sakura as though she has asked a silly question.
"Yes, I am. I am project M.O.X.I.E, but you may refer to me as "Moxie" if you so desire" the robot replied. She glanced around, looking to see if there was anything else that could be of use to her. Part of her previously metal-and-fur fingers had been turned to gold, and if need be she would pull them off to pay for anything more. A voice box fix was needed much more than her right-hand fingers were. To carry the faux fur she opened a stomach compartment and tucked it away. Here was not the place to be doing repairs. A pink light shone from her eyes and went over Sakura, scanning her.
"Species unrecognized. May I ask your race?" she asked.

Moxie studied the fur she was presented with. The colours seemed similar enough, and she gave her nod of approval.
"Will this suffice?" she asked, holding out the hunk of gold to Sakura.
The blood and ruby red eyes of Harumi did not phase the robot: she had no reason to fear them or the likes of anything similar. She continued measuring up the fur in her mind as though everything were normal, trying to calculate the exact amount that was needed.

When Moxie spoke the feeling of nothingness Sakura felt from her would become apparent. Her voice was that of a robotic female, and it very much so betrayed her normal look. Though if Sakura was to look closely at  the canine she would notice the holes in her fur.

Moxie held out the lump of gold and then looked at her tattered suit.
"I require new faux fur to replace my damaged parts... I have heard good things about this place, and hope that you can help me" Moxie explained.

Moxie stepped up to the front door of the snowdin shop, a lump of gold clutched tightly in her hand. She shook some snow from her foot and then proceeded to gently knock on the door, loud enough to be heard but soft enough and with the right rhythm not to sound rude. The robotic canine then waited patiently by the door. Even if nobody answered it she would still wait there until finally it opened: she had nothing else to do.

Her arm drooped a little as the light fur became heavy gold and the ends of her fingers became gold. It didn't hurt: she had no feelings when it came to pain and general sensations. While this sometimes made things difficult (she couldn't even feel the ground beneath her feet) she had sensors that picked up vibrations that were caused when she came into contact with objects such as the ground which helped her determine what was happening around her. She looked at the golden fingers with an odd curiosity. Her mind tried to comprehend how exactly she was able to do this but there was no logical explanation behind it. Moxie nodded at Pandora's last statement.

"May I keep it? I require the gold in order to replace my damaged outer suit" she asked Pandora. If need be she would pull off the golden fingers to pay for new faux fur. People were always giving her odd looks because of her holey fur, a couple of fingers wouldn't do much to her overall appearance.

Moxie rubbed the back of her neck with a paw, a trait she had picked up from watching other monsters.
"Yes, I do. But that is your money and you must have a reason for needing it" she replied to Sprite.
To Moxie Pandora was quite a confusing creature. She seemed to do things that defied all logic and reasoning, though the offer of creating gold sparked her interest. "Can you really make things into gold?" she asked. The robot picked up a chunk of faux fur from the ground and held it out to Pandora as though to see proof that she could really turn it into gold.

The equivalent of a smile spread on the robotic canine's face as she registered Sprite's praise.
In response to the new music and the incredible moves of Pandora Moxie stood aside and took extra care to watch the intricate moves and teleportations, storing them to the long term memory in her hard drive. As much as she would have liked to join and continue to dance alongside them she decided that, according to the amount of coins in the jar, she probably would not get much, if anything, from this activity. Faux fur was expensive, and she was in need of real money.

Moxie noticed the two new-comers approaching and waved to them as she had seen many monsters do. It must be some sort of greeting. Her eyes lit up a bit as both the spider and the boy dropped coins into the jar.

"You are indeed most welcome to join us" Moxie replied, gesturing to an area next to her and Sprite for anyone who wished to join to dance on.

She stopped for a few seconds, taking in what Sprite had said. Dig deep, feel the movements. Make it about her? She could try, though she didn't know if she could dance so freely like how the imp did. The robotic canine put her hands on the top of her shoulders and ran them down her body. Feel the movements. She then scuffed the ground with her heels as she began to do an erratic dance with her legs. Dig deep. And to make it about her she started to wave her arms around in a style that she would later find was called waacking, gesturing away and then towards herself as well as moving her arms as erratically as Sprite had moved his body. A sense of what a monster would recognize as happiness overtook her as she saw a monster drop a coin in the jar. The feeling ebbed away though as she saw a sizable chunk of fake fur on the ground. Dancing seemed to be dangerous for her in her current state. She had been left out in the rain and snow many times now and her fur was definitely damaged.

"I see. As you requested, my name is Moxie".
Money! That was something she was in need of right now. Perhaps if she were to join him and move her body erratically to the beat she may obtain the money to buy new faux fur. When he bought his face up close to hers Moxie took the initiative and scanned his body.

"You are at the perfect body temperature for a being of your race, age and size" Moxie reassured him when he spoke of not being cool. Unfortunately for sprite she was still young and lacked knowledge of things like the other meaning of cool. She watched him dance a little bit more and then after analyzing the sound of the music she started to move her body in a way that complimented the music, rather than the wild way Sprite was going. She was able to synchronize her movements to the different beats and pitches perfectly, though considering the kind of music it still looked odd.
