"Thirteen? Probably a good idea to be more careful on Fridays then." Sans jested, he then chuckled when the blaster licked him before proceeding to pet it briefly, "Good to know bro, I try."
The ever observant skeleton took note of the king suggesting that Papyrus would start rallying the others to leave the chamber safely - Sans paid attention who was leaving and whom was left.
It was strange.
After spending countless timelines as husk of a flower, wanting to see what it looked like when his father was hurt pretty badly - or even killed - now seeing the result it was certainly not a sight Asriel wanted to see. Sure his soul was stitched back together and he had regained a sense of his former self, but it still made the prince feel sick at his core for ever wanting to see such a horrible thing. He had tears swelling up at his eyes upon seeing the king so grievously injured as he was scooped up, "Not as much as you, you helped stop the machine." the younger goat replied. He did feel some relief when the fire elemental tended to the wounds, but he still didn't like what he was seeing, "Are you going to be okay, Dad?"
Undyne, unsurprisingly was staying close to Asgore soon after the mechanical beast had toppled over. She hadn't said anything really on the matter other than expressing an obvious concern until she took note that Zydras had already began the healing process on Asgore. The Captain sighed with relief and was more than happy to assist Asgore with carrying his things, but there were other pressing matter on hand. With a familiar, strict wave she ushered the two guards over, to which they gathered up Asgore's belongings and were there to assist walking him back to the castle if need be.
Just as Toriel hugged her son, Sans who preferred to keep his distance from the prince, spoke up.
"Hey Pap, mind letting me down for a sec?" the elder skeleton requested and soon after felt the harness loosen enough for him to slip off of Toriel's back and land swiftly onto his feet. He slipped his hands into his pockets as he stood near Toriel and Asriel - whom, he kept a very, very close watch on. Especially when he knew just how vulnerable he was right now compared to their prior encounters.
If Asriel really wanted to, this would have been the perfect opportunity to kill Sans.
But such action never came to pass.
Once Asriel was set down he stood in front of the skeleton; the two sharing an uncomfortable silence as they stared at each other.
At Toriel's question, her son replied, "Y-yeah, I think so..."
To the former queen's other question, Sans also replied, "...We're cool Tori."
The question was, did they mean it?
Undyne cast one last glance at Papyrus as he opted to stay behind with the machine - or at least, to be the last one the leave the chamber before nodding once and marched on out of the chamber. She didn't lose sight of the monsters and encouraged for them to stick together and leave together safely as a group - as well as to not leave Papyrus on his own so that they could take care of one more matter on their hands - regarding the humans.
If of course, there were monsters whom had no interest in what was to happen next, she would not stop anyone whom would prefer to leave to go home - or where ever else they wanted to - instead.
Sans, while still near the others, had moved a little closer to the exit's archway and kept a concerned and watchful eye on his brother.
J.O.H.N. struggled against its restraints that Gust had so tightly and efficiently woven around it, finding it impossible to be freed of its bindings. Having the oil and other fluids extracted from by the sodashark only caused for the machine to quickly overheat and find its flamethrowers utterly useless. Soon the ground gave way beneath the mechanical bull as Papyrus' blasters drove it deeper into the earth.
[Negative. Feeling pain is counter productive.] it responded coherently.
It then went silent the further it was driven down and closer to the lava below. Did it feel? Is Artificial Life considered to be living or is it simply simulating life?
The bull went noticeably still as it was left on a small island of rock around lava, not daring to move as if for fear of toppling into it. Sure running out of batteries was one thing, but having its electronic innards destroyed was another. Several warnings flashed and blared about temperatures reaching critical levels for the machine already.
Soon enough, after those agonizing moments the once-walking weapons dispenser exploded not only from the flammable liquids it carried, but also the amount of gun powder and numerous other flammable substances it contained within; sending an impressive display of of fire, colours and smoke all around the immediate area. Nothing could be scavenged from the remains of J.O.H.N.
Upon reuniting with the group, Sans opted to stand near his brother.
The now-mehcanical avian brother tilted his head towards June and chuckled, "Ah guess yer right. Ah been runnin' all over hell's half acre from all o' this." he then paused, "Another one besides Pete..."
The robot body sank a little lower on June's shoulder, "Whelp, at least you were able to make yerself some friends at least. Keep 'em company too. You've always found a way fer people to keep on goin', so ah reckon you woulda helped yer friend with that too."
He then went silent as the king of monsters approached June, choosing not to say anything to interrupt their conversation. The chest cavity of the avian machine seemed to inflate slightly, as if simulating to take in a breath at the thought of June possibly staying. He took a moment to look around as she gestured to the others, "Ah understand what you mean now. Ah should have shown some restraint rather than reacted so impulsively... ah just couldn't believe it. Ah always knew that ah would find you... ah just didn't expect to have found you like this."
He then looked to his sister, after nodding at what Papyrus had said to him, "Ah can't really tell you what you wanna do o' course, but ah know ah can't stay. Ah have to get back to my body - copy or naw - ah gotta be sure and make sure that the rest o' our family ain't sufferin' the loss of two Callahans. Dang... ah hope things haven't gone too bad since ah left with J.OH.N."
As if on cue to the skeleton's question regarding the restoration of some of the missing monsters' powers, a second explosion sounded back in the other chamber; somehow managed to be delayed and that familiar pulse sweapt through the Underground for the last time. This time, however, was different, instead of draining the magic of monsters it gave that same uplifting, empowering feeling they had once felt when a long distance away.
In an instant, every monster whom were robbed of their magic suddenly felt energized and regained that feeling of feeling whole again. Greyed out eyes were no more and were filled with the vibrant colours they once were. The repelling fields around said monsters were lifted.
Sans' left eye started glowing its bright, healthy cyan hue once again and the skeleton instantly seemed to have stood taller where he was once he was one with his magic once again. The Sentry instantly raised his hands from his pockets and started chuckling gleefully as bones and blasters by the dozens were summoned and sent flying towards the ceiling as a quick test-drive of his magic once again. He was, however, hesitant on testing out his Shortcuts though, feeling that it may be too soon to resume that once more.
"Does that answer yer question?" Austin asked with a chuckle, "If J.O.H.N. was destroyed completely or when the correct commands are given, it has the capability of reversin' the effects. Should there have been a chase where neither was possible, their magic would have returned to them over time. It was never permanent. Never, uh, figured out how to do that yet."

Please note what happened to Haruno is the result of her actions and lack of actions made in the Mini. Like Gust, she will get her powers back by the end of the mini.))
